Designed in 1953 by Charles and Ray Eames and produced notably by Vitra.
Charles and Ray Eames originally designed this coat rack for children's rooms. The guiding concept literally meaning "Hang it all" was to playfully encourage youngsters to tidy up their belongings (coats, toys, schoolbags, roller skates).
Although originally designed for children, the bold graphic style and cheerful nature of the "Hang it all" quickly appealed to adults. It has established itself as a Mid-Century Modern design classic.
