1 650,00 €Prix
Measures : 75x51cm H:77cm
An elegant oval bouillotte table, typical of the Louis XVI style, created in the 18th century.
It owes its name to bouillotte, a card game very popular during the French Revolution.
It is easily recognizable by its specific characteristics: a marquetry top, encircled by a thin wooden gallery (to prevent chips or cards from falling off).
Four slender legs ending in bronze sabots (one sabot is missing - see photos).
The pull-out slides are covered in leather, allowing it to be used as a side table or writing surface.
The "stopper": The upper tray is removable.
It is a wooden board with two sides: one side for a chessboard and the other with marquetry depicting a bucolic scene.
