This ceramic table, designed by Georges Pelletier for La Roue Vallauris in the 1970s, perfectly illustrates the charm of mid-20th-century French design.
Its oval top is adorned with finely hand-painted tiles featuring bold concentric geometric patterns in shades of blue and gold.
The steel frame encircles the three tabletops. Its retractable extensions echo the artistic style of the main tabletop.Georges Pelletier, born in 1938, is a renowned French ceramicist known for his innovative creations. Trained at the École des Métiers d'Art in Paris, he combines traditional craftsmanship with avant-garde aesthetics, creating timeless pieces that reflect the rich ceramic heritage of Vallauris.
A few tiles are broken (see our photos), but the table as a whole retains its undeniable charm. The tiles are numbered and fitted together without being glued, allowing for easy replacement in case of damage.
